We had a record number of entries for our annual 2022 / 2023 Sense of Place Photo Competition. 226 entries were received, and amongst them were some incredible photographs. Beauty, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, and this year our 3 person judging panel selected a stunning photo by Nashika Maharaj as the winning entry. Taken at sunset, and picking up on some purple and pink hues, as the sun sinks behind the incredible mountains that look down on us.
The rules of the competition are fairly simple:
While your photo does not have to be taken at Champagne Castle Hotel, it must include Champagne Castle (the mountain) to be considered, and the winning photo will be the one our judging panel feels best captures ‘a sense of place’.
